I really don’t like it when I have some kind of a service appointment and they do not show up on time. It is bad enough that they give you this ridiculous 6 hour time window on most service calls that messes up your entire day. Sometimes you even have to take a day off from your job because of it. This happened recently when I had a problem with my central heating and air conditioning system and had to call the local heating and cooling company for an HVAC repair appointment. The time window they gave me was between 8am and 4pm. Well, the heating and air conditioning worker did not show up till near 5pm! Boy oh boy was I angry as ever! I could have actually went to work that day had they said he would be there around 5. I would have been home from work around 4pm! I had to contain myself and not blow up at the heating and air conditioning specialist when he arrived. He said his last job ran overtime. That isn’t my problem! They should have dispatched another certified heating and air conditioning specialist to come and do my central heating and cooling repair instead! That would have been the right thing to do rather than leaving me hanging all day beyond the given time window! The heating and air conditioning company got an ear full from me on the phone after the certified heating and cooling specialist left. They ended up giving me 50 percent off because of the mess up. At least that was something.
