I think I am going to help my cousin buy a new HVAC unit while I am staying with her.
She has an old unit in the house she bought and I think it is finished.
I told her that the newer units are very energy efficient and would save her money each month on her power bills. She has money saved from her job and is ready to buy a new HVAC system but we need to go to the local contractor to see what brands they have and how much they cost. I think she could get a new system for about $10K, and that includes the installation. I can help them when they put it in because I have worked in the field for many years and know how to install them. I just don’t do it full time anymore because my back and shoulders can’t handle all of the lifting anymore, I guess I am finally getting old. I was doing a few HVAC repairs and installations each week when I really had my HVAC company going but I managed to save a good amount of money and retire early. I still work part time but I don’t need to frantically chase money like I once had to. My dad worked in the HVAC industry for a lot of years too and left all of the kids a big chunk of money. I think he worked in the field for almost 50 years and saved a ton of money, unlike me who seems to let it all slip through his fingers on stupid investments.
