It’s been a very unusual 2 years for me & my spouse.
But we’re so fortunate & thankful to be alive & kicking.
That wasn’t a for sure situation once Covid entered our world. My spouse & I both have genetic conditions which could have led to dire Covid or worse. In fact, my spouse & I met each other is a local support group for our health condition. It was sort of alarming that first year. The people I was with and I both stopped working inside the zone controlled Heating, Ventilation & A/C of our respective offices. Eventually, both our companies shuttered the offices & sent everyone lake house to work from their own air conditioner. But when they reopened those offices with the zone controlled Heating, Ventilation & A/C, my spouse & I still had to stay at home. Thankfully, both of us share a beautiful house with fantastic quality heating & air. And both of us are best friends who care about to spend time together even if it’s just sitting quietly together. Still, all that time in our house was taxing & both of us saw various of our friends not make it. Once both of us were vaccinated, both of us felt a bit of relief but were still very careful not to stray to far from the air conditioner of home. The people I was with and I simply had to be genuinely vigilant when it came to protecting ourselves from the virus. But this Spring, the cases in our area have dropped dramatically. And both of us are venturing out a bit more. Prior to this Spring, our only trips out of the air conditioner safety of lake house was for groceries. Now, both of us just had lunch outside at a cool new diner in town. It was just fantastic to be out again & around other people. It’d been so long that I felt care about this was the first time I’d sat to dine in my life.
