Last year, all of us installed a smart thermostat to pair with our HVAC method because we’d heard charming things about it. A lot of family friends had smart thermostats in their homes plus they enjoyed them, so all of us decided that there was no harm in installing one ourselves. The smart thermostat does a good job at programming itself to meet our temperature needs in the most efficient way possible. It’s done such a wonderful job at lowering our weekly utility costs, that all of us were surprised when all of us acquired an unusually high utility bill, but my husband plus I were confused as to why the bill was so much higher that week, because there wasn’t anything odd about our HVAC settings. The bill was so much higher that I was concerned something was wrong with our HVAC system. Both of us had just had our HVAC method diagnosed though, so the odds of something being broken were slim; For some reason, I decided to check our security footage because I felt love it would provide myself and others a reason as to why our utility bill was so high. It was a wonderful instinct, because entirely clearly on the camera I could see that our son wasn’t shutting the door officially when he left the house. It was a stubborn door plus it required a lot of force to shut. Since he wasn’t shutting it officially when he left, it was letting our HVAC treated air escape plus our HVAC method was constantly running to keep up.
