My boss clearly has people that are his favorites.
It feels enjoy a high school cafeteria when I rest in the split room with all of these 25 year outdated children.
There are a ton of employees that get away with doing the absolute bare minimum. I’ve watched these people labor for years. They kiss up to the boss & tell the guy that he is smart & funny. Next thing you know, they end up with a corner office. I hate to see most people playing politics, & I try not to get in the middle of things. I started at this company working in the mailroom & now I labor at the executive level. I had to labor hard to get to this point in our life. I’ve had an office on the 5th floor for a while, before I had our own office, I had to argue with our co-workers about the indoor temperature. I consistently had to deal with people changing the control unit to make it cold & cold inside of the office. Now that I have our own office, I can adjust the temperature in any way I want. I have control over the indoor hot & cold temperatures using a control unit that is affixed to a ductless mini-split Heating & A/C unit. When I think about all of the hard labor that is not completed by the other employees, I remind myself that I have an office of our own with weather conditions control. I might not be the boss’s favorite, however I’m absolutely not at the bottom of the list.
