Don’t risk the HVAC over easy warranty requirements

When I get a certain set of physical feelings, I know that I am about to panic.

  • This is something that I had to learn a long time ago.

Avoiding panic attacks is something that I am very careful to do in my life now. First, I’m somebody’s daddy and daddies need to be calm for their kids. When I was a kid, I used to see my mom go all to pieces over the smallest thing. I don’t really attribute that to my situation as I think some of us are just more genetically prone to anxiety than others. I found great solace from my anxiety in a quiet, dark, HVAC cooled room. The more I learned about my situation, the more I recognized the physical symptoms of panic. This way, I could adjust my situation before I lost it and then had to pick up the pieces. This still works quite well today. So, when I felt my heartbeat pick up, the flop sweat start and my breathing become shallow, I knew just what to do. I have a study in our house that has its own dedicated ductless HVAC unit. I went in there, flipped the ductless HVAC on, sat down, closed my eyes and rested my head on my desk. The thing that triggered this response was the fact that I thought I had voided the warranty on our new HVAC. It had been more than 90 days and I hadn’t registered the warranty or set up the maintenance program as required. My wife found me in there after a bit. She had done all of the warranty requirements that first day it was installed.
