I should have gotten heated flooring

I am going to add heated flooring to the living room when I remodel.

  • When I did our master powder room remodel, I considered doing heated flooring.

I already was spending so much on glass penny cement though. I did not cheap out on our plumbing fixtures either. Heated flooring seemed like a luxury & a total waste of money. How often would I want to have heated flooring in such a small space anyway? Turns out, all the time. I frequently take a bath after work to loosen our slender muscles & relax. Heated flooring warms all objects that are in direct contact with it. I could have a naturally heated tub the whole time I bathe. In the afternoon I curl our hair, do our make up & get ready in the powder room. It is a solid 30-45 minutes of me resting on freezing tile. If it was heated, that would suppose appealing. Instead I have to wear socks & slippers the whole time I am getting ready. I am not making that mistake in the living room, getting the electric heated mats is easy & the heating replacement can be done by me to save money. I just need to chance up the mats at our local hardware store. Yes, it does increase our flooring budget by 50%. At the end of the afternoon it will be worth it. My family can play cards, board games & hang out in a heated living room because I sprung for it. The heating proposal is silent, clean & energy smart. No heated air rises or creates freezing spots in the house.
