When my great friend and I moved down here last Fall, it still felt like Summer to me.
Where my great friend and I came from, there was already days where there was frost.
And here I was turning on the air conditioning in our new house. I had the feeling that I was in for the best winter season of my life. My friend and I are in the south now because my partner took a job down here. And it’s a large time promotion for her. She certainly has an office in a building downtown that has floor to ceiling windows and an amazing view of the city. My friend and I certainly live about 40 minutes out of the city in a planned community. It’s an easy commute of my partner to his new office. Oh and that office even has zone controlled Heating plus A/C obviously. I visited for the first time not too long after my great friend and I moved into our new place to discover that his office had it’s own thermostat as well… Yep, he has hit the large time and I couldn’t be more proud or supportive of her. That said, it looks like I’m about to spend money the piper for indeed being able to love the best winter season ever. I literally never turned on the heat pump for heating over the Winter. I guess there was one day that I broke out a space heater. Of course, all the neighbors were chilly and their heat pumps were running. But now, the shoe is on the other foot. It’s only May and I’m melting. My new buddies just smile and tell me that I haven’t seen anything yet. They advised that I get my air conditioning tune up and connect my chin strap because it’s about to get seriously hot here.
