I blew a fuse

With the weather getting hot, I knew I needed to get some air conditioning units for my apartment.

Since I do not have central air conditioning, I knew I’d need some powerful units to cool my entire apartment.

I ended up getting two box units for the window. In addition, I also bought a standing air conditioning unit. I had never used a standing unit before, but they have more power. I figured more power would mean a cooler apartment, so I went for it. I didn’t even think about the limitations my apartment unit might have when it comes to power. I plugged in and set up all three air conditioning units and turned them on high. In a matter of minutes, my power flickered and I blew a fuse. I thought that I would just be able to go and switch the fuse back to resolve the problem. However, no matter what I tried, the power would not come back on. I was left with no air conditioning in my apartment for another day. I had to call the landlord, who eventually scheduled an electrician to come and take a look at the fuse box. It was extremely frustrating and uncomfortable. At least the electrician was able to teach me about how to avoid the same thing happening again. I certainly don’t want to be without air conditioning again!
