Wood stove in a cabin over the summer

My friends and I love to have a guys weekend out in nature. Every summer for as long as I can remember, we find a nice, scenic spot to just take time away from our lives and have quality time together. We like to get a cabin over a long weekend, since we don’t see each other very much outside of our guys’ trips. This year, we went to a beautiful lake in the woods and had our cabin as usual. Of course, because it was the summer, it was far too warm to need any kind of heating. The trees and the lake kept us relatively cool, but there would not be a need to fire up any heating systems. While I am happy we had great weather, I was kind of disappointed at the same time. You see, the first thing I noticed when we arrived at the cabin was that there was a gorgeous wood burning stove that served as the heating system for the cabin. This is a really simple place, so there’s no wifi or fancy HVAC systems. When you’re at the cabin, you’re living off the land. That means burning wood is the best means for providing heat. I kept on asking the guys if we could try it, but they all insisted we’d be too hot if there was a wood burning stove running in the dead of summer. I suppose they were right. I settled for a campfire, but I really want to go back in the winter and experience the wood burning stove.
