HVAC addition helps stop junk room in its tracks

Okay, so I’m more minimalist than maybe I let on. But I just hate clutter and junk. This is a position I come by quite naturally. Growing up inside a lovely house with great quality heating and air should have been simply awesome. But my dad left when I was 11 and my mom sort of lost it. I had to step up in ways that an 11 years old boy just isn’t prepared to do. My mom sort of went off the deep end a bit and my sister and I were more on our own than not. Mom wasn’t neglectful exactly but it was far off. And she turned that house with the wonderful residential HVAC into a junkyard. I don’t know if this was sort of a default behavior for her or a result of her being divorced and rudderless. Regardless, it was horrible. And when I’d try to sort of get rid of what was obvious trash, I’d been in for a lot of screaming and anger. How my mom could catalog all that junk in her mind but couldn’t consistently get us fed still keeps me up at night. So I’m a bit intense when it comes to junk in our home. I actually had the HVAC company install zone controlled HVAC in order to stop a junk room from being born. My wife had started storing boxes of stuff we didn’t use in a perfectly good guest room because she said the heating and cooling was off in there. I didn’t say a word but simply called the HVAC professionals so the heating and cooling in any part of the house would not be used as a reason for a junk room.
