Don’t fade out when it comes to HVAC maintenance

I tend to be one of those people who gets all excited about something and dives head first into whatever that thing is.

I’ve been that way with exercise, diets and even landscaping our yard.

Only thing is that I tend to fade on that initial enthusiasm. That fade turns into a total slide more often than not. I still have the gym membership but can’t seem to get excited enough about the gym anymore to get my butt out of the air conditioning to workout. There was a sort of similar reaction when we got the new HVAC equipment a few years ago. When we bought our home, it came with HVAC equipment that we knew was not going to last all that long. Since the seller wasn’t interested in replacing the heating and cooling equipment, we negotiated a better price on the house. And we started saving for the new HVAC unit once we moved in. So when the time finally came, we were ready and got the latest and greatest in residential HVAC equipment for our home. From the first day, I was all about making sure that the new HVAC unit got what it needed. The HVAC warranty was registered with the factory that first week. And I was so good about making sure the HVAC equipment got all the seasonal HVAC maintenance. Well, my wife pointed out to me that we need to join the HVAC service plan because I’ve missed a couple of HVAC maintenance times. Yet another thing that I sort of faded out on. However, my wife is just so right. The HVAC equipment is far too essential for me to fade on. So HVAC service plan from the HVAC company it is!
