It’s really nice to live somewhere that you actually feel blessed by the weather.
I live in an area of the country that feels exactly that way to me.
Having spent so much of my life in areas where the weather felt like a curse, this is sure a wonderful change up. Sure, there are four months of the year where you better have the HVAC air conditioner ready to work hard. There is no denying that the heat during that stretch can range anywhere between sizzling and overwhelming. And, I definitely am inside the HVAC when the peak heating hours are happening. However, the mornings and evenings are still so wonderful. The other 8 months are simply spectacular. The sun is out and the sky is clear. The temps are just about perfect. I’ve never experienced anything like it. Some of the places would come close for a few weeks during the fall and spring. But it was nothing like the consistent great weather we get here. The HVAC gets a break during the colder 4 months. It is hardly ever on actually. However, there are the occasional cold snaps which require some heating. The HVAC heat pump more than delivers. All I have to do is flip the thermostat to the heating position and the heat pump does the rest. It actually can heat the house on it’s own by extracting heat energy from the outside air. This works all the way down into the forties. Once, it gets colder than that there is a supplemental grid that fires up to provide additional heat. It’s a great situation and I’m glad I found it.
