Where I work, our commercial HVAC system always seems to be on the fritz.
In the winter, the heat does not pump through the ductwork sufficiently and in the summer the cooling only seems to work downstairs (I work on the second floor).
Because of the volatility of the HVAC system, I have a portable space heater that I use in my office for the winter. In the summer, I have a little fan that I clip to the top of my computer and another little fan I place on the right side of my desk. Being as it is the summer right now- and yes, I am back in the office in the middle of a global pandemic- I am miserable. I sweat all day and sometimes run downstairs just for a little bit of air conditioning. The portable space heater does wonders in the winter, but in the summers, I’m always burning up. I have been looking online for an air conditioning equivalent to the portable space heater, but I have not found anything. I’m beginning to wonder if there is an air conditioning equivalent to a portable space heater at all. In my own head, I feel like this should exist. Fans are nice but they really just blow the hot air around after a while. I’m looking for a portable space air conditioner. Is there any such thing? Please help me out, internet! Maybe I’m just not searching the right words or phrases, but I have been completely unsuccessful in finding a portable air conditioning solution.
