Radiant flooring in an seasoned new home

Both of us do not even experience snow in this region

After owning our new home for 10 years, I decided that I wanted to add radiant flooring to the bathrooms. Both of us started noticing that each winter, the two of us were getting colder and colder in the house, especially in the bathrooms. My hubby said that it was due to the heating system not working plus it did when the two of us first bought the house. When the two of us first bought the house, the heating and cooling system was 10 years old. Therefore, the heating system has been heating the entire new home in the Winter time for 20 years. That is a long time for an Heating plus Air Conditioning system to run. Anyways, our neighbor recently had radiant flooring installed in their entire house, but personally, I assume that is a bit dramatic. I don’t assume that it is necessary to have radiant floors in all of the rooms of the house, especially if you are not using more than 2 rooms. I care about the method of being able to get out of the shower while I was in the Winter time months and step on the radiant floors. I am not interested in replacing all of the carpet in order to have radiant floors. Both of us live in a weather conditions that does not get that cold. Both of us do not even experience snow in this region. If the two of us lived in a region that experienced snow, I might consider putting radiant flooring in all of the rooms in the house. I care about that the two of us are able to use the radiant floors in the bathroom as the two of us please.
