Setting automatic temperature control

Now I can set an automatic temperature control program in accordance with my daily needs, rather than running only the AC or furnace at one temperature all day long

I’ve always been a fan of minimizing my HVAC use whenever possible. I often will go back and forth, feeling the outdoor air temperature versus the indoor air temperature, and trying to decide if it’s worth powering my central heating and cooling system or not. Sometimes this feels like an overwhelming decision, because I build up my energy expenditure so much in my head that I would hate to be using my HVAC if it wasn’t necessary. I also despise leaving the air conditioner or heater on during the daytime when no one is going to be at home anyways, but feel like there’s no other option, since I don’t want to come home to a hot or cold house. Waiting for the AC or heat to catch up with the outdoor elements can take a while, and sitting there uncomfortably after work is not ideal. I’d rather come home to perfect air conditions and be able to jump right into making dinner, doing chores, and settling down for the evening. That’s why I recently had a modernized HVAC unit installed for myself. It has an updated thermostat with a fancy touch screen interface that gives you many extra options compared to my old, basic thermostat module. Now I can set an automatic temperature control program in accordance with my daily needs, rather than running only the AC or furnace at one temperature all day long. I power off my HVAC from 9-5, and I feel like I’m saving money while still keeping my house perfectly comfortable for when I get home at the end of a long day.
