Sweating makeup off

I’m a pretty self-conscious person, although I’ve grown out of it to some extent with age.

I no longer feel like everyone is staring at me all the time, or negatively judging me while doing everyday tasks.

But I still like to present myself as best I can, and take lengths to do my hair and makeup most days. This is an easy task to accomplish in the spring and fall, when our weather is favorable and my alterations can hold up to the elements, but in the winter and summer I feel like I’m fighting a losing battle. Summer time, especially, is difficult to combat without employing abundant air conditioning at every turn. It gets very humid here, and there’s no choice but to use your AC as a dehumidifier besides cooling your indoor air. I definitely use it when I’m putting on my face every morning, first to keep cool and dry while I put on my sunscreen and moisturizers, and later to apply makeup. In fact, I try to sit right next to my air vents while I’m accomplishing these tasks, so I can soak up the maximum amount of air conditioning. It works well, but the effort is usually for naught, because as soon as I’m out of my supreme indoor air, the sun is beating down on me and ruining everything. I wish I could just take my air conditioning with me, so I didn’t have to be such a mess for the rest of the day. If only the weather had the same temperature controls as my central heating and cooling system.
