I live in a metropolis & while I like living here there are particular things that drive me insane.
Like the commute to & from my place of work is never pleasant.
You’ll basically encounter too many people & some can be quite odd… Additionally, I have to ride on the crowded subway back & forth all the time. Along with the trains being super crowded, you must walk fast, or you will get knocked over by other pedestrians. You have to keep up with the walking pace of the city, everything moves extremely fast around here. But living in the town also has its pros because I have access to pretty much anything that I need. And all within hours of my property, so, although it has its challenges, the convenience makes it worth it for certain. Also, I like the architecture of the buildings & properties in the city. The only thing is that multiple of them don’t have central air. If you decide to walk by most residences or buildings, you’ll see window cooling equipment because that is 1 of the only available options. The buildings are not equipped with the space required to install air ducts. And multiple properties will either have window cooling equipment or mini split ductless cooling systems installed. I live in a co-op apartment, & I personally utilize window cooling equipment in my home… Currently, I have 2 window units installed – 1 in the bedroom & familiar area & the other in my actual bedroom. This works for me because I live alone in my apartment. If I ever make the move to purchase a property in the city, I will easily opt for the ductless mini split cooling equipment.
