I love ductless HVAC

When the HVAC contractor suggested ductless heat pumps in lieu of having to rip out the ductwork in our home, I was immediately resistant. But then again, I think that is sort of a default reaction whenever something doesn’t go to plan. I have a habit of seeing things only one way in my mind. Then, I plan whatever I’m trying to do around that one way in my mind. While this has been somewhat successful for getting things done in business and life, it doesn’t leave much room for options. As I’m getting older, I see more and more that I need to embrace options. So I rethought the way I was with the HVAC contractor. Our house is a place that I love very much. We raised our kids here and it’s right smack in the middle of a region I adore. While we thought about cashing in on the hot real estate market, there simply wasn’t another place I wanted to live. Then the HVAC unit gave out. But it lasted 27 years thanks to the consistent HVAC maintenance from our trusted HVAC professionals. My wife and I had decided that we were staying put but it wouldn’t be a bad idea to get the latest in HVAC technology in case we wanted to sell later. That was the plan until the inspection revealed that the ductwork was trash. Finally, I let go of control and we went with the HVAC contractor’s recommendation. And I simply could not be more pleased to have a ductless multi split system in my home. Maybe I should be less resistant about more suggestions as I go down the road.
