The homeowner had to replace the old air conditioner before we moved in

We’d been looking for an ideal rental property for some time.

It was taking a long time, and the baby was almost here. My partner and I were adamant about the type of space we needed hence the delay. It seemed every house we looked at had a few key things missing. Finally, when we were discussing compromise, we got a call from our realtor with good news. He had found the right house for us in the best area. It had three bedrooms but lacked a new AC system. That was one of our requirements for the ideal house. We wanted a home with a new AC system to help ensure the indoor air quality was exceptional. With the pandemic, we knew an efficient AC unit would keep all of us safe to some extent. The realtor was not sure the owner was willing to replace the HVAC system. He suggested we move in and then ask the owner to replace it later on. Time was running out, and we wanted to agree with the HVAC idea. But, I felt differently after a few hours. We called the realtor and requested to speak to the landlord. He sent us the landlord’s contact information, and we called him. The homeowner was at first not willing to invest in a new HVAC unit. But when he found out I was pregnant, he agreed to replace the HVAC system. It took him a couple of days to locate the right AC unit for the house. Afterward, an AC mechanic came to set it up in the house. Once everything was in order, the landlord called to inform us the AC system was set, and we could move into the house. That was the best news ever, and two weeks later, the baby arrived at a wonderful air-conditioned home.
