I live in a neighborhood where the homeless population is incredibly high. All of us have so several homeless people here that there are entire blocks downtown dedicated to their living space. I volunteer with a single of the homeless shelters in the area, and I’ve l gained a lot about what living on the streets looks like. I constantly wondered how they survived without air conditioning and heat while in the freezing and sizzling seasons. Some of them said that there are particular suppliers downtown that will allow them to come inside for a few hours before and after business hours just to get some cooling or heating relief. Some people donated portable space oil gas furnaces to the homeless shelter, and it entirely made me question where or not people suppose about anyone but themselves, portable space oil gas furnaces have to be plugged in in order to operate, so homeless people can’t use them since they don’t live somewhere with electricity. I can’t tell you how several times I’ve seen some of them get excited to see what modern items the two of us have for them, and their disappointment when they see the space heaters. When you are living on the street, you simply don’t have the luxury of air conditioning and heating unless someone allows you to prefer it for a few moments. This is why the two of us put a much higher priority on layers of clothing and shoes compared to air conditioning and heating supplies.
