We just had Easter two days ago and I got some photos from mom back home.
She had a family dinner and set pics of the family who came and it made me feel kind of sad that I wasn’t there.
But I don’t want to keep beating myself up for moving overseas to pursue my musical dreams. I have to believe that I came here for a reason and if I feel like the dream isn’t going to be realized then I can move back to the States and start life over there again. I work for this local contractor here overseas while pursuing my dream of playing and singing in a band and traveling around doing shows in local businesses and clubs. We are still trying to find our voice and are getting closer, but we still need some time to get it down. I work as an HVAC tech a few hours a day in the store and then I spend the rest of my time practicing the drums and writing songs in cafes and sometimes in the heating corp. When it is really slow in the store I go in the back room and do some songwriting for a while, as it is usually quiet and I can think better. I install heat pumps in homes and businesses in town, and sometimes I do some ductwork cleaning with my other friend who works at the shop. I will keep working for this company for a few more years while we work on our band and make new songs.
