Ten people had roofing installations during the spring weeks

During the spring, my business is flooded with calls for roofing repairs and replacements.

  • During the winter months, we tend to get a lot of rain.

During that time, we secure roofing problems to keep them from getting worse. We do not perform any replacement work until the weather is dry and clear. The first week of spring this year was as busy as I can remember. We had ten different roofing services scheduled in the same week. I had to hire a dozen guys from the temp agency to help with the jobs. I could put two guys on the ground to help with the labor and it didn’t really matter if they had skill or knowledge. I just needed a guy or girl with strong arms and legs to carry the bags of shingles and the buckets of tar. I helped out with one of the commercial roofing replacement jobs. I wanted to be there most of the day, but I had an emergency call from another commercial customer. The guy called me because water was leaking into the roof area from the storage located above the restaurant. I dropped what I was doing so I could go check out the leak. I had to climb through a small area to get to the storage and then through another small area to find the leak. It looked like a bullet fell from the sky and put a perfect round hole right through the roof. It was quite easy to patch the hole, but I really don’t know how it got there.
