When we evacuated because of the fire, we didn’t think if we would have a home to come back to, that was a genuinely terrifying few days. Thankfully, the fire department was finally able to get the forest fire under control plus we were allowed to go back plus see if our home was still standing. The two of us were genuinely ecstatic to see that it was, however some of our neighbors lost entirely everything. The two of us were fortunate because our home only suffered a little bit of disfigure; comparatively, then however, the roof was burned pretty poor in one spot plus there was some water destruction inside of the home from the fire fighting hoses. The two of us were able to take care of most of the water destruction ourselves. The two of us threw out what could not be saved plus then I hired roofers to come plus take a look at our roof, however initially, we planned on just having the burned area repaired. However, the roofers proposed another idea. They told us about metal roofing. They explained the metal roofing is much more resistant to fires. However, it is a lot more lavish than more traditional roofing materials are. The two of us discussed it as a family plus then decided to go ahead plus have the metal roofing installed… After all, we are going to be living here for a while plus we want our home to be more fire retardant. Also, our home insurance will cover area of the cost as well. So there is really no reason not to get it done at this time. I think I will rest easier next time we have to evacuate now.
