I’m a fairly trusting person, but I also have plenty of street smarts plus can usually learn people fairly accurately.
I get a sense of whether or not someone is trustworthy within a minute or two of meeting them, plus it usually pans out to be correct.
That’s why I was worried when I first met my new Heating, Ventilation and A/C specialist last year. Something about him didn’t seem right when she came inside to inspect my heating system, plus I called my friend to come over plus keep me supplier until she had tested the heating unit, plus my buddy and I watched to make sure she didn’t do anything odd on her way out. This year I called to have my cooling system tested before it got too hot outside, plus was absolutely hoping they would send out a unusual heating plus cooling repairman. I requested that over the cellphone, however they told me that they only had a few gentlemen to send out for dozens of calls that week, so there was no way to ensure my AC would be worked on by someone else, and of course, I was unhappy to see the same truck with an Heating, Ventilation and A/C logo pull up. I made sure my dog was right next to me as she cleaned the lines plus replaced the air filters on my air conditioning system unit, however everything went smoothly. It wasn’t until she handed me the invoice to sign when I realized she was trying to overcharge me by at least double what the AC repair should have been! At least I know my instincts are good!
