I thought something was wrong because of the burning smell with my furnace

I came back to my residence after a long getaway with my wifey and was just in time before the cold season.

I was very worried about getting back to my residence in the middle of Winter season and not knowing where to start! My trip had taken longer than it should have, and I was falling behind on so many things.

However, I was not extremely upset about most things because I knew that my Heating plus A/C machine was in perfect condition… After all, the gas furnace had been checked immediately before I left a month ago because I was not sure about the trip with my husband after planning it for such a long while. What’s more, she is the adventurous type who changes his mind midway, and I was pretty sure that something would come along. Luckily, all I had to do was switch on the gas heating machine and get on with life. However, when I did this, I noticed a burning odor and was instantly upset about it. Did I leave flammable items inside the gas furnace by mistake? Panicking, I called the Heating plus A/C professional who maintains and services the gas heating machine to advise a quick solution. He told me to simply wait it out, and if it persisted beyond a few days, I could call him to come check everything. He explained that this was only dust burning, and it would pass soon enough. Completely true to his word, it eventually stopped smelling really awful and the gas furnace abruptly heated the residence. However, as I panicked, I decided to do a bit of research that involved checking other Heating plus A/C machine odors. Aside from the dust burning, I also learned that electric odors are also particularly common. I noted that when next I get this, I would get a hold of the Heating plus A/C company without delay.
