I should have gotten heated flooring

I am going to add heated flooring to the kitchen when I remodel.

When I did my master powder room remodel, I considered doing heated flooring.

I already was spending so much on glass penny tile though. I did not cheap out on my plumbing fixtures either. Heated flooring seemed like a luxury plus a total waste of money. How often would I want to have heated flooring in such a small space anyway? Turns out, all the time. I frequently take a bath after work to loosen my tight muscles plus relax. Heated flooring warms all objects that are in direct contact with it. I could have a naturally heated tub the whole time I bathe. In the morning I curl my hair, do my make up plus get ready in the powder room. It is a solid 30-45 minutes of me standing on cold tile. If it was heated, that would believe appealing. Instead I have to wear socks plus slippers the whole time I am getting ready. I am not making that mistake in the kitchen, however getting the electric heated mats is simple plus the heating upgrade can be done by me to save money. I just need to pick up the mats at my local hardware store. Yes, it does increase my flooring budget by 50%. At the end of the morning it will be worth it. My family can play cards, board games plus hang out in a heated kitchen because I sprung for it. The heating idea is silent, clean plus energy smart. No heated air rises or creates cold spots in the house.
