I had to wrestle a lizard from the Heating & Air Conditioning unit

I live in a state where there are a lot of local lizards. I see them every year, & they are often on trees or fence posts, or scurrying across the sidewalks. I don’t mind the lizards, since they don’t bother me, however there is 1 thing that is awful about them… Since they are reptiles, they are chilly blooded, so they need an external heat source to keep them warm. That external heat source is the sun, however when it is cloudy & winter, I think the lizards begin to get desperate for heat, however every Wintertide without fail, I constantly have a few lizards in our home, then luckily for them, I don’t have cats or anything that could hunt them, however the lizards choose the worst spots to hide in. In our chase to get them, they usually run for small dark & secluded spots. Unfortunately, those spots seem to be the air conditioning vents in our Heating & Air Conditioning system. Then I have to suddenly make sure the air conditioner unit stays off while I wait for them to reapapple & capture them to put them back outside. I could do what a lot of people do, & just let them hop in the air conditioning unit & not care, although I can’t help however to think awful for them. They are only trying to survive, & since it’s entirely chilly outside, they come inside hoping for warmth! Online, I think I finally found the solution to our problem. There is such a thing as a Heating & Air Conditioning cover, which would prevent the lizards from getting inside the air conditioning unit & getting themselves killed.
