Zone control trims heating costs

My supplier has switched to having all employees toil from home, and this transition took some getting used to, however now I’m severely cheerful with the arrangement; At first, I had nowhere to toil however at the kitchen table… I was always getting interrupted & regularly needed to pack up before both of us could eat supper.

I finally converted a guest family room into a house office.

This allows me to shut the door & be a lot more productive. I enjoy the ability to toil in comfortable clothes, play tunes & avoid office drama. I suddenly realized that working from house is far more convenient, and however, our heating bills were quickly much higher… Now that I’m not leaving the home empty all day long, I can’t adjust the control unit to conserve energy, and for numerous weeks, I paid to heat the entire home while I was only occupying one room. I was placing unnecessary wear & tear on the gas furnace. I finally got in touch with a local Heating, Ventilation, & A/C supplier & explained our concerns. He advocated upgrading the system to zone control. The project wasn’t overly difficult, messy or fancy. The Heating, Ventilation, & A/C serviceman installed a series of valves into the HVAC duct to regulate airflow to the odd rooms. These valves are controlled by independent control units mounted in each room. wireless control units allow me to set the temperature & make adjustments through an app on our iPhone. I don’t need to manually change the temperature setting on the control unit. I am no longer forced to heat a bunch of empty family rooms all day long.
