One of the hardest people to shop for in my family is my aunt. She is always complaining about how cold she is when she comes to visit my family during the holidays. She is from a warm region and is not used to the cold and snowy weather that we experience in the region in which we all live. Usually, she is prepared for the cold as far as bringing the proper outerwear but she always has something to say about how cold it is even inside when she is sitting by the fire. My dad has always done everything he can to make sure that she is comfortable when she comes to visit. She never appreciates how much thought he puts into making sure she is comfortable. She always shows up late for dinners and gets too drunk. This year, my dad decided to get her a space heater for christmas so that she could plug it in and leave him alone when she got too cold. My dad is not one for adjusting the thermostat to please everyone in the house. Sometimes, if he got really cold, he would turn the heater on but only for a little while. He is all about a constant electric bill and has no problem with telling everyone in the house to bundle up if they get too cold in the winter months. My aunt was actually thrilled when she received the gift of an electric space heater for Christmas.
