The heat pump is also doing something about the humidity level in our home
There are things about the Winter weather that are beautiful. And I’m not talking fresh snowfall here. I could go the rest of our life and never see snow again and I’d be just fine. No, the Winter weather I’m talking about is on the mild temperature and maximum sunshine side. I do not have to rely on any sort of gas oil furnace or anything enjoy that in order to have some heating. In fact, I sort of miss our heat pump, however during the winter, I essentially turn the heat pump off. We just do not get much demand for heating this far south. Of course, we’ll get a frigid snap here and there however I usually just employ the space heating system when that happens. But 1 thing I do honestly love about our heat pump is how bendy it is. If for some reason we did have a week long frigid snap, we could get all the heating we would ever need from the heat pump. But just as abruptly, we could pivot to air conditioning by simply flipping the temperature control over to cooling. For sure, the cooling is the important section when you live in this region. But the heat pump’s not just providing the air conditioning that allows us to manage the high levels of heat and humidity. The heat pump is also doing something about the humidity level in our home. The air conditioning process is truly balancing the humidity levels inside. That makes it recognize so much more crisp and cool while also mitigating mold growth.
