Doing the heater maintenance at my son’s school

When I dropped off my son at school the other day, the principal took me aside for a word with me.

  • She requested that I get a team to check the central heating as it had been acting up since the previous week.

She knows I am a local contractor with the local business and knows more about HVAC, and I promised to look into it when my team and I were available. Fortunately, our morning opened up when our customer canceled, saying the digital thermostat only needed a cable change, and it had started working as expected. My team and I headed to the school to assess the geo heat pump. A team in the same company had done the installation about five years back, and we have been responsible for the heater maintenance ever since thus. I knew the system very well. I commended the school for adhering to the energy-saving help tips I shared during the first tune-up. The heating services revealed some of the parts were worn out and covered in rust. We changed the damaged parts with new ones and got the heating device to function optimally again. The school had started teaching the older students more about heating because it was part of their lives and would help them get a grip on the other sciences. There were space heaters to help with the practicals where students could see how these devices generated quality heating. I was very impressed, though my son was in the lower classes, I knew his future was in good hands. The principal was happy with the service she received from us and the fact that we did not rush into recommending a new heating system.
