Stupidity cost me our Heating, Ventilation, and A/C warranty

Sporadically I wish the better area of our brain could simply override the impulsive, ego driven area of our brain.

Like if there was some sort of kill switch that could be hit when I’m about to do something stupid would easily help.

Alas, that just isn’t going to happen. But the older I get, I tend to do less dumb stuff. I guess that I sort of suppose the orange flags a bit more when I am sauntering into territory I have no corporation being in. That said, it doesn’t mean that I still don’t make just the most idiotic moves. A recent situation with the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C is a fantastic example. My kids are gone and our partner often visits them to see the grandkids. I have a job that I can’t leave so I’m around the house by myself a lot. A few weeks ago, I came house to a easily chilly house. I tried to get the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C oil furnace to fire back up however it wouldn’t. That’s when I should have simply called the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C people. However, I chose to investigate even though every fiber of our being was telling me not to. And yet, I pressed on. Of course, I ended up messing with stuff that I had no idea about. So by the time I did call the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C people the next afternoon, I wasn’t sure just what I had done to the oil furnace. Come to find out, I did a lot of injure in our service attempt. And I also voided the warranty as well by attempting to repair the oil furnace on our own.
