Hotel rooms should be cool for summertime vacationers

My friends and I found a hotel near the beach that was reasonably priced.

  • We booked a room for two weeks.

The weather was beautiful and it was hot. We didn’t mind the heat outside, so long as it was cool inside the hotel. For the first week, it was absolutely beautiful. It got even warmer at the beginning of the second week. It was so hot and humid outside that we couldn’t wait to get back into the room. At first we loved the cool air of the air conditioning. Unfortunately, it kept getting colder and colder. We checked the thermostat, thinking that the housekeeping had played with the thermostat, but it was still at sixty-eight where we had set it. We washed up and went downstairs to get something to eat, thinking the air conditioning would be okay by the time we got back. That wasn’t the case at all. We ended up calling the front desk, thinking that this had to be a problem with all of the rooms. They told us they had already received several phone calls about the air conditioning and the HVAC team was already working on the problem. By the time we got ready for bed, we had received another call that told us the HVAC system had been repaired. They said the air conditioning should soon be back where it should be. We huddled under blankets for the rest of the night. When we woke up, it was nearly seventy degrees and the air conditioning was just turning on. We had no problems with the air conditioning for the rest of our vacation.
