We’ve been thinking about it for a while now, and we have pretty much decided that we are going to be moving south soon. My husband and I have been living up north ever since we got married and it’s really cold around here during the winters. We have to deal with sub zero temperatures for months at a time once the weather starts cooling down in the fall. I, for one, am very sick of it. I would like to live somewhere where it’s sunny and warm most of the time and I’m beginning to realize why so many people want to retire down in the southern part of the country. I keep thinking about how nice it must be to never have to worry if you have enough wood for your fireplace or oil for your oil furnace. Not only that, but we have to pay a fortune in heating costs during the winter. I just think that it would be nice to worry about paying for air conditioning for once instead of heating bills. I guess it might be different once we actually move down there. Probably then we will be complaining about the air conditioning bills instead of heating bills at that point. Either way, though, I am sick of the cold temperatures and the freezing weather. I think that it will be a nice change for us to move down to the southern part of the country, even if we do end up with high cooling bills. At least it will be something different for us.
