A lot of people remember to clean their HEPA filter in the HVAC system, but not many people know about cleaning the condenser grills. If these grills get clogged up, then the system doesn’t run as efficiently and it can cost you a lot more money every month for cooling. The grills of the condenser cool the air and if they are clogged up with dust and grime then they don’t cool as efficiently, because the air does not pass over the metal surface but instead it passes over the grime that is on top of the metal. This makes your HVAC equipment less efficient. If you don’t know how to do this, I suggest calling an HVAC company and having an HVAC professional come out and do the job for you. My system is located in the ceiling of my bathroom and it is very difficult to get to, and I tried to clean the grills the other day but I could not locate the cover plate to get to it, so I will have somebody else do it. There’s a heating corporation down the street that also does HVAC cleaning and service, so I will call them and have them come out next week and take care of it for me. This way when summer comes next year I will be ready for it and my system will run very efficiently. Then I can keep myself cool all summer long without paying crazy energy pills. I think a lot of people don’t know about this and it costs them a lot of money, so it is a good thing to just have a service plan with an HVAC company and let them take care of it.
