Around here, it is incredibly hard to go without AC during the summer. I had to do without AC for a week and I thought I was going to die. I didn’t have the money to repair the AC in my house. When it broke down, I was lucky to get a free estimate on the repairs. Unfortunately, I didn’t have enough cash to actually pay for the repairs. I had to wait until payday. The AC repair service offered to let me write a post dated check, but I didn’t think that was a good financial decision. I honestly believe it would be easy to wait a week. I even got a rental portable AC unit from the AC repair service. It only cost me $7 a day to rent the portable air conditioner. I placed the portable air conditioner in my bedroom and I spent most of my time in that room. When I had to leave the bedroom to go to the bathroom or the kitchen, I absolutely felt miserable. I don’t know how anyone could live in this part of the country without some type of AC unit or cool air machine. It is absolutely and terribly hot and the breeze is filled with humidity. The only break from the temperatures is going indoors to enjoy the air conditioner. I learned a lot about myself after I spent a whole week without central AC. I am extremely spoiled and I would never make it a week on my own in the wild. I’m doomed if I ever get stuck somewhere without climate control.
