All the HVAC workers have been pressuring us to go for certain costly HVAC upgrades

It seems like professionals like HVAC technicians and other contractors have no honor these days.

I mean, I’m sure there are great people out there working in the HVAC industry, but lately all the HVAC professionals have been aggravating.

Whenever I go through a new HVAC company, I find a reason to go to the next place. Recently, all the HVAC professionals have been pushing for us to get things that we don’t even want. A bunch of HVAC workers told us that our HVAC system was too old and we needed to have it replaced. It seemed like they were eager for them to install something new and fancy. Some said we should go for a geothermal HVAC system, others said radiant heated floors were the ticket. What these HVAC systems have in common is that they are extremely expensive to have installed. There was a more recent HVAC professional who wasn’t so bad though. He also agreed that we should think about upgrading our HVAC system soon, but he told us about some of the cheaper options. He even told us about DIY ductless mini splits which could be installed without any professional assistance. I had to make a note of that because I couldn’t believe it. I was thinking about installing my own HVAC and I realized that we would save so much money. The only downside that the HVAC worker warned us about was that the warranty would likely be void if the ductless mini split wasn’t installed by an HVAC professional. I think that’s a risk I might be willing to take.
