I was truly devastated when our dwelling caught on fire.
I basically lost everything in that fire, But I am easily thankful that nobody that I cared about died.
However, I had a good amount of pictures & keepsakes that burned, & there was no way that I was going to ever be able to recover those. Thankfully, I had insurance, & that covered the cost of replacing our entire dwelling. One thing that I was absolutely ecstatic about was that this opportunity allowed myself and others to update the HVAC appliances that were at our house. I know that it sounds completely ridiculous that I was ecstatic about HVAC appliances even though our dwelling burned down, however I legitimately didn’t like the HVAC appliances that were at our dwelling. When I purchased our dwelling, the gas furnace was already pretty old, & the central a/c appliance wasn’t in working condition. Happily, I was able to get the central a/c appliance running after a little while. Since the central a/c appliance sat there for a pretty long time, it never cooled our dwelling down as well as a current central a/c would have. The gas furnace wasn’t better, however even the gas furnace kept our home warm. The gas furnace was absolutely inefficient, & it cost myself and others a great deal of money each week to keep the gas furnace working good. When I was building our dwelling after the fire, I got enough money to purchase a current gas furnace & central a/c, & the difference was entirely noticeable. I am upset about our old house, however I am not upset that I don’t have to deal with our old HVAC appliances.
