When I started working from home, I had to set up home office

Since I work extremely long hours, I can’t deal with any kind of distractions.

I decided to change the guest bedroom into an office and put some time and money into setting up an environment more conducive to productivity. I replaced the carpet, painted the walls a muted blue tone, and installed several extra power outlets. I made sure that the room is properly insulated, installed an Energy Star rated window, and bought myself a better computer system. I didn’t anticipate issues with my heating and cooling system, but problems became apparent after I’d spent a week or so working from home. Now that my home is always occupied, I have to run either the heater or the air conditioner all the time. With a single control panel, it was costing me a fortune to keep the entire home at the perfect temperature. This was costing far too much money, and since it was summer at the time, I was putting a heavy burden on my air conditioner . Also, I wasn’t thrilled about interrupting my work to walk to the thermostat in the hallway room to make an adjustment to temperature. I called a local HVAC technician who recommend updating to zone control with a smart control thermostat. I am now able to regulate each zone in the my house to an separate temperature. I can keep my office at the perfect temperature without having to heat or cool the whole house. I can also make changes to temperature, fan speed, and air quality right from my smartphone. These changes have immensely improved my comfort and also saved me a lot of money.
