Introducing the CSR program in the HVAC business

CSR is one of the most critical roles a company can play in the community.

I have become an expert in community relationships with local businesses.

I bring the two entities together to appreciate each other. The customer enjoys the company by paying for services from the industry, while the customer appreciates participating in CSR. I recently joined an HVAC business in the city which deals in different HVAC brands. Finding a way to relate to the community above providing help with indoor comfort was challenging. After much research that involved interviewing HVAC professionals and homeowners, I concluded that it would be amazing to support the unique needs of schools in the area and provide indoor comfort. After the directors gave the proposal the go-ahead, we spent months changing HVAC units, running HVAC maintenance, and providing new HVAC installations. We collaborated with different companies and schools, and many HVAC repairmen joined us. This gave the company such recognition that at some point, the HVAC providers reported running out of quality HVAC units, including ductless heat pumps. In some schools, units needed only a new or a working thermostat. We opted to use air filters from HEPA as their quality is the best in the industry. Almost all the experts in the country took part in the exercise. It was weeks of hard work but very rewarding at the same time. The activity was recognized nationally, and the company received an award. In turn, our company gained loyalty from the community, which showed in the increased number of new customers. Several other companies have taken the same route. Many companies have a functioning CSR department. Eventually, the collaboration grows the economy, and everyone benefits.
