My beach home was perfect in a lot of ways, and really, I didn’t want to change that much of it; then, I did know that there were some parts of the beach home that needed to be repaired… For example, the paint was chipping off in particular areas, so a fresh layer of paint was in order, this gave myself and others the occasion to paint the walls a current color.
The hour repair, and entirely the largest, was the central heating and A/C machine.
The a/c component had done a good job of heating and cooling the beach home for several years, but since it was getting up there in age, it needed to be repaired more often… I didn’t mind this, that is to be expected of a/cs and other devices when they begin getting older. The component was absolutely about 14 years old, so not old enough to need to be upgraded just yet. I predict having another 6 or so years of it at least. The heating and A/C components are actually hardy, so they don’t shut down easily. Well, the last time the a/c component did shut down, I had a cooling worker come out and maintenance it the same day. I even asked the professional heating and A/C serviceman what she thought, and she told myself and others as well that it will last a long time. This was comforting to hear; so even though our beach home needs some repairs and substitutes, they absolutely aren’t much to worry about. I might transfer within the next few years; so if I do, the a/c issues will be something for the next owner to worry about.
