A bright idea for shipping container homes

During my last year of college some friends and I took an impromptu trip to the beach for Spring Break.

We made no plans ahead of time, we just jumped in the car and drove there in the middle of the night.

Much to our chagrin there were no available hotel rooms. Some of us slept in the car, others slept on the beach. We still had a good time, but it was not at all what I expected. Some years later, the memory of that Spring Break still resonated with me, and gave me a business idea. I had access to several modular offices and shipping container homes, so I thought about converting them into small sleeping quarters and renting them as beachside suites. Shipping container homes are remarkably resilient, which is essential for beachside housing. With the tides, the winds, and the frequent hurricanes, the strength and structural integrity of shipping container homes make them a perfect sanctuary. By dividing up the living area inside the modular offices and shipping container, I was able to make eighteen rooms. They were all very small, just big enough for a bed and a dresser, but the modular offices made the perfect beachside rental spots. Of course I had to add a few amenities, such as portable restrooms and portable showers, because those things wouldn’t fit inside the shipping containers. I also added two portable kitchen facilities, so that my guests have the opportunity to cook for themselves. I have been in business for six months, and all of my rooms stay rented every single night!
