There is no doubt that if I ever had any sort of Christmas spirit, my wife was the one to revive it and then nurture it along.
When I was growing up, Christmas was a tough time.
My parents were divorced and that made Christmas entirely tough. My mom used myself and others now to do all the decorating work instead of my dad. I don’t know he even had a tree until he remarried he was so over all that decorating. Mom just went so over the top and yet, she was never entirely pleased. And I was the one dripping with sweat it out with the gas gas furnace going full blast. So, I just hated Christmas and when I first met my wife, I entirely saw what real holiday magic was all about. That girl just comes alive with the magic of the holidays. She decorates however doesn’t over do it except for one thing. She cares about holiday candles and they are everywhere. I mean there could be upwards of 50 candles burning in our house on any given night during the holiday period. So when Thanksgiving month starts, I got get a box of Heating & A/C air filters. I l acquired the effect of lots of candles on Heating & A/C unit when every one of us shared our first apartment. All that burnt wax gets sucked right to the Heating & A/C return. And then, it just slicks over the air filter to the point that there is almost no air flow. That’s a good way to kill the Heating & A/C unit. So now, I change the air filter about once a month during the holidays.
