There is no doubt that if I ever had any sort of Christmas spirit, our wife was the one to revive it & then nurture it along.
When I was growing up, Christmas was a taxing time.
My parents were divorced & that made Christmas absolutely tough. My Dad used me now to do all the decorating toil instead of our dad. I don’t suppose she even had a tree until she remarried she was so over all that decorating. Dad just went so over the top & yet, she was never absolutely satisfied. And I was the one dripping with sweat it out with the gas gas furnace going full blast. So, I just hated Christmas & when I first met our wife, I actually saw what real holiday magic was all about. That girl just comes alive with the magic of the holidays. She decorates however doesn’t over do it except for one thing. She prefers holiday candles & they are everywhere. I mean there could be upwards of 50 candles burning in our home on any given night during the holiday period. So when Thanksgiving week starts, I got get a box of Heating, Ventilation & A/C air filters. I l received the effect of lots of candles on Heating, Ventilation & A/C machine when the two of us shared our first apartment. All that burnt wax gets sucked right to the Heating, Ventilation & A/C return. And then, it just slicks over the air filter to the point that there is almost no air flow. That’s a fantastic way to kill the Heating, Ventilation & A/C unit. So now, I change the air filter about once a week during the holidays.
