Fall is my favorite time of year.
It is the end of the hot humid weather and the beginning of cool refreshing air.
I look forward to decorating for Halloween. Then there is Thanksgiving and Christmas. I love how the fireplace looks when the fire is burning and there is the scent of cherry wood in the air. I also know that fall is a signal of winter coming. I make sure to remember that I contact the HVAC company to have them do servicing on my furnace. I found out the hard way, about how important it is to have your furnace checked after being unused for over six months. When the HVAC professional shows up, he will probably check the air filters to make sure they are clean and ready to be used. He will check the ductwork for any loose, cracked or soft spots that could cause a problem with airflow. Any problems with your heating system can cause lack of airflow, which means less heat and higher energy bills. By having servicing done to your furnace, or other heating system, you can make sure yours will last the entire winter. I waited too long to have my furnace serviced, one year. I ended up having an emergency call at a time when no one wants to be without heating. I won’t let that happen again. Now that I know it just takes a little bit of time and energy to call the HVAC company. The send out an HVAC technician to do any service and repairs necessary and it takes very little time.
