I would be able to tolerate winter if I had radiant heating

I know that I was born and raised in the Northeast.

That doesn’t mean that I am fond of winter.

I think fondness may even be a little too nice for how I feel. I hate being cold. I hate needing to get out of bed in the morning and putting my warm feet onto an icy cold floor. I have stone floors and an old farmhouse. No matter how nice it is outside, those floors are always cold to the touch. There is very little that can be done that would make me say that I can tolerate winter. Don’t get me wrong, because we have a very good heating system in our home. The furnace keeps the house warm and comfortable no matter what the weather is outside. Warm and cozy air does not mean that our floors are anything other than frigid. That would all change if I were to have radiant heating in my floors. I know it can be done, because I’ve checked into it. I think that if I were to have radiant heating flooring, I may even look forward to putting my feet down onto the floor in the winter. Radiant heating in the bathroom would make getting out of the shower so much nicer. The warmth of the heating and being able to dry off while still in the bathroom, would be amazing. I need to run to where I have carpeting so I can get dry and warm. Of all the projects we want to complete this year, radiant heated flooring is at the top of the list.
