We get hit entirely hard by both summer time & winter in this area. It seems basically like it shouldn’t be that way in the least. I mean if all of us have to go through a lengthy, chilly winter, all of us should be able to fully enjoy a pleasant summer. That is not the case in the slightest. For sure the nippy season is long & cold. However, the summer time can be filled with humidity like a gas furnace at times. This essentially means the Heating & A/C gets a workout on both the heating & cooling side. Our gas furnace works pretty hard in the nippy season to help keep us warm for all of those many months. I make sure the gas furnace gets a pretty nice inspection & repair from the Heating & A/C professionals prior to the temps dropping. On the other side, I easily make sure the Heating & A/C cooling component gets a pretty great look & repair in the Spring before the heat sets in. However, until recently, I hadn’t really thought about the Heating & A/C cooling side while in the nippy season. It just sort of sat there. I figured that was just fine because I didn’t even know any better. Unlike the Heating & A/C heating side, the Heating & A/C cooling side has pressing components that sit outside the dwelling. This is the condenser & compressor that are inside the Heating & A/C cabinet. Without this, the Heating & A/C appliance couldn’t exhaust the heat it extracts from the dwelling. Well, while in the nippy season it can often just sit there with all the weight from snow & ice just sitting on delicate components. That won’t do. I got hip & decided to get a plastic cover that fits over the Heating & A/C cabinet to protect it while in the nippy season.
