You have to keep checking your HVAC filter

If you don’t change the air filter frequently on your HVAC component, then debris, dust and also dirt become trapped in the air filter; the dirt and debris causes air flow problems and this is a single one of the greatest reasons why many HVAC components require repair.

Then my husband and I were reminded that it was time to change the air filter last weekend, but it was especially chilly on Thursday evening and eventually both of us turned the oil furnace on before both of us opted to go to bed.

My husband and I expected to wake up in the afternoon to a sizzling and also toasty atmosphere… Unluckily, it was still quite chilly in the house. There was barely any sizzling air coming out of the vents. I decided to check the air filter, since I could not remember the last time that both of us had actually changed it… Sure enough, it was completely filled and also covered with dirt, dust, and ample pet hair. The debris was blocking the flow of air. I got rid of the old air filter and then I installed a crisp and disinfecting filter that is free of any dirt or dust. My loving husband and I waited an hour and then both of us hoped that the house would start to sizzle up. Shortly after lunch, I checked the temperature control and it said that it was 71 degrees in the house. The gas furnace was still running at that time, however it shut off about an hour late. I’ve been warned about dirty air filters in the past, however this is the first time I have ever experienced gas furnace problems just because the air filter was blocked. The chilly winter air was a chilling reminder to change the air filter.
