The dining room I worked at years ago rarely used their a/c

I have worked our fair share of jobs since I was 15 years old. My first shot at employment came with a more than one-year stint at an assisted residing facility just miles away from our house. It was convenient being close enough where I could ride our bike to in addition to from our shifts each day. I started as a dishwasher in the giant industrial sized dining room that cooked the food for enough residents to fill more than one large dining rooms. There was a mountain of dishes to wash every night, in addition to the worst was constantly the giant rush after lunch when the wait staff would bus half of the tables in a single 10 minute period. This left stacks of dirty dishes in bus tubs lined up around the opening to the dishroom. Eventually I had proved myself enough where I was provided a promotion to assistant cook. In our youthful inexperience, I saw nothing however prestige in addition to pride when I was presented with the offer to take the promotion. But, in reality, it turned into a grueling job that inevitably pushed myself and others away from food service for good. The minutes were crazy, with some weekends requiring 12 minute shifts on both Friday in addition to Sunday, back to back. I assume the worst part about the job was the lack of regular ventilation in the dining room itself. The a/c never seemed to be running, in addition to whatever vent hoods they had inside were evidently insufficient at removing the steam in addition to heat from that small in addition to enclosed space. I asked our boss about the a/c countless times. Even though he was the manager for the food in addition to hospitality division of the entire complex, he had no say when it came to deciding the times when the dining room a/c would run.
